All foals safely on the ground and what a delightful bunch!
Rushmoor Double Take
Double Take has been so named as she is the spitting image of her dam, D'Arblo (Jaguar mare). Her sire is Disteldave (Distelfink stallion previously stood by stud).
Double Take is an extremely elegant and refined filly with a lovely head. She is a very leggy type and has lovely loose movement. It is thought she will stay black like her dam.
Double Take has been sold to a home in Auckland.
Dazzle is an absolute stunner with her four symmetrical stockings and even white blaze. She is by Disteldave out of Lizzie the Laureate (Voltaire II mare) and it already appears she will be a well muscled and compact individual.
Dazzle has recently undergone her halter training and has proven to be a very fast learner.
Dazzle has been sold to a fantastic dressage home where we will hopefully soon see her on the show circuit.
Accolade is Rushmoor's first foal by Casper out of Charlton Larrikin (Oldenberg mare). He is a muscly individual like his sire and has displayed the most amazingly confident and placid nature I have ever seen in a foal.
UPDATE (2013) Accolade is currently my riding horse and out of the many, many horses I have had in my lifetime he has got to be up there in number 1 spot for attitude. Although still a youngster he hasn't put a foot wrong and tries his little heart out to please. What a testament to Casper's offspring!
Amberley is by Casper out of a TB mare by Ivory Hunter and as you can see she is just beautiful. She has certainly taken after her thoroughbred parentage with her long legs and fine head.
It is expected Amberley will be a tall filly and with her golden colouring and plenty of chrome is expected to be a real head turner.
A buckskin colt by Casper out of a stationbred mare has been born to the Mangaatua Stud being their first foal of the season.
Albie is a lovely palomino colt by Casper born to Smooch a TB mare (outside mare). Albie already has shown he has a nice temperament and I am sure he will continue to be a delight.
