2011 Foals

Casper has produced two lovely foals this season and although more were planned that has sadly not eventuated.

Rushmoor Dragonfly

Dragonfly arrived without incident but has kept her mum on the trot with her mad antics around the paddock. She is by Casper out of Mozzie (Valiant mare) and like her older brother Classic looks a very nice type.

Dragonfly is nicely marked with an unusual blaze and two hind white stockings. She's quite a character and has a very cheeky, bold nature with energy to burn. She is very athletic and has performed all the dressage movements since her first week of life which no doubt will set her up for the future.

Dragonfly has been sold to a lovely home in Kaitaia with aspirations for the dressage ring.

Rushmoor Sacre Bleu

Here's a foal with a bit of difference. Bleu is by JK Sacramento (Holsteiner) out of Chakita (TB/Stationbred mare). As can be seen he's the typical palomino colouring but unfortunately (for me) has inherited the grey gene of his sire and will eventually turn grey.

Bleu is a very pretty little foal and very refined compared to the more robust foals that Casper leaves. He appears to be a confident little chap and should be a really talented individual when he matures with his sire's pedigree and the stationbred hardiness of his dam.

Bleu has been sold back to his sire's owners where he will continue the outstanding bloodlines of his sire.

Sonny is by Casper out of the Holsteiner mare Dixie (outside mare) and looks an absolute beauty. His owner Helen reports that he is already a breeze to handle and has quite a following. Well done to both Dixie and Helen.
