Wow is all I can say to this one. Dragonfly is by Casper out of Mozzie and we have had a couple of updates from her owner as she matures. However, I never expected her to be flying in the latest update ... but she is! Simply gorgeous.
Another lovely Casper offspring with his happy owner and a great photo moment for them both. Sid is out of a stationbred mare and was bred prior to Casper's arrival at the stud. He looks adorable which I'm sure his owner would agree with.
Tui Hills Celtic Mead
The stud welcomes its newest broodmare to the bunch - a lovely natured mare by Te Mania Blue Fable (Laughtons Legend) out of a mare by Jaguar (Belgium warmblood). I have been looking for a mare with Irish breeding for quite some time and Honey fits the bill perfectly. I am very excited about her future foals as I have become quite an avid fan of the Irish Sporthorse which Casper (with his little bit of Irish) along with Irish horses consistently appearing at the top of world rankings, has convinced me of.
It may seem I spend a bit of time on Trade Me, but I did spot this cute buckskin gelding which turned out to be a Casper foal bred by the Mangaatua Stud. Hokey Pokey sounds a lovely horse to own and I'm sure he won't be on the market long with his easy going nature and list of credentials.
Rushmoor Gee Whizz
The owner of this young mare recently updated me with her progress. She is now three years old and under saddle and as you can see still has a beautiful round outline. Surprisingly it appears they still get mud in winter down in Canterbury, but I'm sure its nothing like we get in Northland!
I was recently contacted by the owner of this lovely horse who is by Casper out of an Irish/TB mare. He was bred by the Mangaatua Stud and according to his owner is exactly what she wanted when looking for something fun but safe. He has turned his hoof at everything and gives it his best with a lovely nature to go with it. What more could you want from your equine friend.
Rushmoor Eldorado (aka "Levi")
I really liked this photo of Levi starting his hunting career. He looks like a mere spar in the way isn't going to be a problem, which is good as when he is that big you don't want to be getting off for the gates!
