Rushmoor McLaren

And to finish off the year we wave goodbye to McLaren who has headed off to the South Island to join the many other Casper babies who have made their home in the South. No he didn't go by balloon but by road and sea, this being a picture created by Brookby Heights International who sold him on my behalf. A gorgeous young horse with a big future and I can imagine a very welcome Christmas present!
Bella
The beautiful Bella has trotted off to her new home further south down the North Island. A gorgeous mare with a gorgeous nature. I wish her and her new owner the best.
Broodmares
Since Casper is no longer with us I don't have a need for a broodmare band so slowly the girls have been leaving for fresher pastures. Both Rotterdam (seen above with McLaren at foot) and Tui Hills Celtic Mead (the fat, wet one) have moved on. Both girls were in foal so there will be little Casper babies for this last season. Rotterdam has headed north and "Honey" to the South Island. I have one last in foal mare, Ava, who I will be keeping along with Eyreleigh Tir na Og who doesn't look to be in foal. Ava has been one of the original stud mares and has left some outstanding foals on the ground and has well earned her resting place on the farm.
Rushmoor Imposing

And of course I couldn't miss an update on this super star. Leo is seen here competing at the Northland GP showjumping show and looking all class. Kudos to his rider for the class act.
Cracker Jack

Jack is really powering around this cross country making light work of these jumps despite the fact they are getting bigger and wider every time I see him go. Here he is at Te Rapa Horse Trials with rider and horse doing a fantastic job out there.
Rushmoor Quest
I'm a little late in reporting and also lacking any recent photos but sweetest natured filly Quest (looking very dark and wet in this pic) has left for better pastures. Quest is by Casper and out of the WB mare Ava. Again, this adorable filly has gone locally so there might be a surge of Casper babies in the area shortly.
Mangaatua Casper
2002 - 2025
My magnificent boy has come to the end of his life. Such a proud and gentle stallion that impressed all who met him. He was a one in a million character who always came to say hello and would stand for hours with his eyes closed just to feel your touch. He has left many outstanding progeny and I am honoured that I was a part of his life.
Rushmoor McLaren
Here's the really cute McLaren getting a little jumping training under his belt before he heads down to Brookby Heights International to be sold. He is such the sweetest little horse and such a trier so if you are looking for your next best friend and a beautiful golden one at that then here he is!
Rushmoor Juliet

I saw this gorgeous mare come up for sale as a broodmare. She is a definite stunner by Rushmoor Bravo out of Rushmoor Covergirl. If you are aiming to breed golden horses with all the looks and pedigree she might need to be in your stables.
Rushmoor Quinn

Another delightful Casper progeny has headed off to her new home. Quinn is out the Irish mare Eyreleigh Tir-na-Og and has been an absolute gem to train through the weaning stage taking everything thrown at her in a calm and easy manner. She has landed herself an absolute 5* home and local too so I hope to keep up with how she progresses.
Raffie

'Tis the season for the hunters and here is the really impressive Raffie now carrying the red coat on the hunt field. This horse looks all muscle and I certainly wouldn't want to get in his way when he is chasing those hounds. Raffie is by Casper out of an outside mare and I am well impressed with how quickly he has been produced by his owner/rider to where he is now. Tally ho Raffie.
Duncan

Here's the lovely Duncan now out on the hunt field and looking quite pleased with himself. Duncan is by Casper out of an outside mare and has developed into quite an eyecatcher.

This amazing little horse has done it again. This time he has been crowned open hunter horse of the year - what an achievement. His owner has produced him all herself in between having a family and what a job she has done. And not only that one week later and he places second in his class at Northland Horse Trials. You have got to be impressed with that.
Rushmoor Gee Whizz

And now for a little bit of eye candy - the lovely Gee Whizz (Casper/Jilly) once again being successfully ridden by her owner to another champion at the Mt Benger A&P. Well done to them both.
Rushmoor Orbit and Portia
These two full sisters have both been sold with the older one Orbit heading down to Kaipara to become a hunter and the younger one Portia heading down to Wellington in due course. These are both beautiful horses with outstanding movement and I fully expect to see them excel in the future.
Cracker Jack

And here he is again because I am loving the way he is going. Cracker Jack is by Casper out of a hunting mare and is just going from strength to strength. Here he is at the Brookby Horse Trials stepping up the heights and looks to be nailing it. Well done Jack and his ever enthusiastic rider.
Casper filly

This 3 year old filly is by Casper out of an outside mare, but I have seen her on occasion as she is local. The last I heard she was for sale and as you can see is an absolute stunner. If you are looking for something "standout" let me know and I will put you on to the person involved.
Rushmoor Oh La La
This gorgeous filly has been sold and will be making her way down to Wellington in a few months. Lala (Ava/Casper) has the most appealing nature, not to mention her good looks, and I am sure she will thrive in whatever she does.
