2023

Rushmoor Imposing ("Leo")

This horse (and rider) have had outstanding results of late.  Leo is by Casper out of Ava (Landioso/Anamour) and in recent events has gone from winning ribbons in the show jumping at Northland GP Show to being awarded so many wide sashes at BOI A&P a couple of weeks later his neck wasn't long enough and last weekend placing 2nd at the Brookby Horse Trials.  What an outstanding allrounder and so well piloted to achieve this.

Duncan

I was kindly forwarded a picture of the lovely Duncan progressing in his ridden work as he prepares for the next hunt season.  Duncan is by Casper and out of the hunting mare Trudi and is really starting to look the part.  I look forward to seeing him out there on the hunt field.

Rushmoor Bravo

I love seeing updates of this horse, he is a stunner.  Pictured here giving show hunter a go at the recent Northland GP Show and what a lovely style.  Not bad for a dressage horse!

Bella Esprit

I've recently seen this pony mare by Casper for sale and she looks an absolute gem.  This pony is progressing up the heights and looks to have all the ability.  Looks an ideal choice if someone is searching for a future GP pony.

Cracker Jack ("Tardee")

This lovely youngster is by Casper out of a well performed hunting mare.  He is pictured here at the recent Springbush Horse Trials where he and his rider are doing an awesome job round the cross country.  Ears pricked and clearly loving it.

Rushmoor Lexus ("Sassynach")

I've kindly had an update on this lovely young mare who has recently been started under saddle.  Nachie is by Casper out of Jilly (Voltaire II/Witzbold).  Here she is pictured having her first try of a hunt spar at a Canterbury hunt and an outstanding try at that.  And just to top off the picture ... look at that blue sky, something us Northlanders haven't seen for some time.

Dyson

Dyson was not so long ago in my news as he was for sale and it seems he has landed himself the perfect home.  Pictured here at a hunt in Waikato where, from the green ribbon in his tail, he has not long been a hunter.  Regardless it looks like he was made for the job and seems to be loving it.

Murphy

This horse looks an absolute gentleman and has collected quite a fan club as he starts his schooling on the way to a sale.  Murphy is by Casper out of a full Clydesdale mare and comes with the temperament of a saint.  If you are looking for a horse like this you better be quick because I don't think he will be on the market long.

Rushmoor Bravo

Bravo once again in the money stepping up to Level 3 and coming away with the Champion.  Well done to his rider who has produced him from just started, it takes many, many hours to get to this level and clearly she has done it well.

Champagne Charlize

Isn't this a gorgeous looking mare?  She is by Casper out of the WB mare Charlton Larrikin (Oldenburg) and looks all class.  A lovely stamp of a mare and I'm sure she will make some mighty fine foals.

Rushmoor Hotshot

Well we put Hotshot (Casper/Ava) up the heights and she just keeps getting better and better.  At her second start at 1.20m she placed 2nd in the championship at the Woodhill Sands Premier Show and looks like she could easily go higher.  However, there's a bit of schooling on the flat to be done first (oh the horrors of flat schooling for a jump rider).

Rushmoor Imposing

Leo (Casper/Ava) has done it again, third A&P in a row that he has scooped the pool taking out Champion Novice Riding Horse, Champion Open Riding Horse and Champion Hunter at the recent Kaikohe A&P Show.  Not much more you can ask of this young horse, he has excelled in whatever he does.

Jaidev

This horse is all class and recently seen for sale if anyone is looking for a top level dressage mount.  Jaidev is by GT Jake and out of Rushmoor Amberley so a Casper grandson on the dam side.  I am seeing more and more Casper grandchildren about as Casper is now in his 20's but I can't I am disappointed with the quality of horse if this lovely gelding is anything to go by.

Rushmoor Jezebel

Bel is really impressing with her scopey jump and her desire not to touch a pole.  So much so she is beginning to over jump a little and scare herself, but good things take time and I'm sure this lovely mare is worth every minute.  Bel is by Rushmoor Bravo out of Rushmoor Covergirl (Casper/Jilly) and is seen here as a green 5yo competing in her first 1m class at Woodhill Sands.

Rushmoor Lexus ("Sassynach")

What a fantastic picture of an awesome little horse.  I was sent this by Nachie's owners who have recently started her under saddle as a 3yo and are super pleased with the way she is going taking everything in her stride.  Nachie is by Casper out of my lovely old broodmare Jilly (Voltaire II/Witzbold) and was a dream to handle from day 1.  Destined to be a hunter I am sure she will be a legend in her time.
